Built by a team that has been creating education software for UK schools since 2007.
That is nearly two decades of working in this market — long enough to understand how schools actually operate, what school leaders need, and where existing tools fall short.

A specialist software reseller, not a call centre.
Founded in Newry and serving schools, charities and businesses across the United Kingdom, SAM UK has spent more than two decades quietly making software licensing easier for the people who actually have to procure it.
You'll deal with the same account manager every time, and you'll always get a quote you can read. We're part of the same family as our Irish sister company, SAMI, which serves schools and charities across the Republic of Ireland.

Our history in UK education
Four chapters, one team.
- 2007
SAM-UK
We started as SAM-UK, trading in the UK education market and building solutions designed specifically for how British schools work. From the outset the focus was practical: software that fits the realities of school leadership, not the other way around.
- 2009
software4students.co.uk
A couple of years later, the team launched software4students.co.uk. Working with Microsoft, Adobe and other leading software providers, the service has helped more than one million students and families access best-in-class software across the UK.
- 2016
GoConqr
In 2016 the team launched GoConqr.com, a global study-tools platform that grew to 13 million students worldwide — proof we could build for scale without losing focus on what learners and educators actually need.

Edvance
After years working across UK education, we turned our attention to a problem growing quietly in every school: governance and policy compliance. Edvance is the result — a single place for Headteachers, Governors and Clerks to manage policy readiness.
Why we keep building
Schools needed a clearer way to procure software and manage governance.
Most schools are managing somewhere between 30 and 50 policies at any given time — and dozens of software licences alongside them. They live across shared drives, email attachments, board meeting packs and the memories of long-serving staff.
Bursars and IT managers need to know what has been approved, what is renewing, and what counts as genuine value for public money. When Ofsted comes knocking, schools need to demonstrate that governance is organised and evidenced — not assembled in a hurry from scattered files.
That is the gap our work has always tried to fill: practical software, honest pricing, and people who pick up the phone.
The team
Built with school leaders, for school leaders.
SAM UK is a small team with backgrounds in UK education software, school governance and software licensing. Everything we build and sell has been shaped by direct input from the bursars, IT managers and charity administrators who use it every day.
